|This course is designed for students who have successfully completed the Medical Assistant Program classroom/lab curriculum. Students will learn to apply technical and practical medical assistant skills through supervised experiences in a medical office setting under supervision of the program coordinator and medical personnel working in the field. Included topics are medical office orientation, administrative tasks in medical office situations, and patient interaction in a medical office environment. Students will perform competent entry-level medical assistant skills in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains, as appropriate to the clinical setting. Upon successful completion, students will continue within the same facility to complete the final Medical Assistant clinical.
