This course is designed to provide child care and education professionals with an overview of strategies that enable all children with disabilities, delays, or special needs to gain knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for learning. Topics include: programs, terms, and resources that support children with special needs; the child care professionalís role in supporting an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP); and how to select materials, adapt instruction, and provide a motivational environment.
